The future of electrochemical energy storage

Speaker: Professor Wu Yuping

Speech Title: "Regulation of Electrons and Ions in Electrochemical Energy Storage Systems"

640 (2).jpg

Professor Wu elaborated on the increasing significance of electrochemical energy storage systems in sustainable development, especially in the utilization of renewable energy sources such as electric vehicles and solar energy. He discussed the challenges of gaining and losing electrons and ions during charging and discharging, and shared the exploration achievements in the fields of anodes, cathodes, separators and electrolytes since 1994.

Breakthroughs in high-energy-density lithium metal batteries

Speaker: Professor Niu Chaojiang

Speech Title: "High-Energy Low-Expansion Lithium Metal Pouch Battery"

640 (3).jpg

Professor Niu shared his systematic research and practical application results of AH-class pouch batteries regarding the issue that lithium metal anodes cannot form a stable solid electrolyte interface during charge and discharge reactions. He introduced the "limit balance regulation mechanism" proposed on the basis of achieving an energy density of 300 Wh/kg and its application in long-cycle and high-energy-density lithium batteries.

Research on Green Catalysis of Spinel Nanomaterials

Speaker: Professor Li Xinyong

Speech Title: "Construction of Spinel Nanomaterials and Research on Their Green Catalytic and Sustainable Energy Properties"

640 (4).jpg

Professor Li discussed the application of spinel structural materials in carbon capture and environmental catalysis, emphasizing their potential in addressing the greenhouse effect. He introduced how the nano-effect can improve the interface structure and its performance, and demonstrated the rationally designed solar energy collection and green catalytic functions.

New material design driven by artificial intelligence

Speaker: Professor Zhang Lei

Speech Title: Research on New Material Design Driven by Language Data

Professor Zhang discussed the application of big data and artificial intelligence in materials science research, especially the language data-driven material design methods. He introduced a variety of data-driven technologies, including high-throughput computing, data mining and machine learning, emphasizing the advantages of combining language models with first principles and demonstrating their potential in material development.

Optical properties and applications of nanocomposites

Speaker: Professor Zhang Shouren

Speech Title: "Research on the Regulation and Application of Optical Properties of NanoComposites"

640 (6).jpg

Professor Zhang focused on the research of optical property regulation of nanocomposites and expounded on their application in photocatalytic organic reactions. He emphasized how to effectively regulate the optical band gap, light absorption and emission characteristics by precisely controlling the composition, structure and shape of the material, thereby enhancing catalytic activity and selectivity.
